Joyce J. Jackson, MSN, APRN, BC

Joyce joined the Berman Skin Institute in 2004 after having practiced primarily in the Washington, DC area. She has been a nurse for thirty-eight years, during which she has worked as a clinical supervisor, nurse manager, and several faculty positions at The University of the District of Columbia and Prince George’s Community College. The last twenty-four years she has focused primarily on the diagnoses and treatment of venous disease. She originally started with the American Vein Institute where she was the Clinical Director for nine practices from Maryland to Tennessee.

In 2000, she started commuting to California where she trained physicians in endovenous laser procedures and assisted in establishing their vein practices. While working in California, she met Dr. David Berman and has since become a vital provider at the Berman Skin Institute, practicing in our Los Altos and Pleasanton offices.

She is a regular presenter at the American College of Phlebology conferences and most recently presented at an International conference in Boston which focused on the advancement of treatment of venous disease. She is currently the Chair of the APN/PA section of the American College of Phlebology.
