Esmeralda is a board-certified Physician Associate with specialized training in dermatology and a dedication to patient-centered care. Her clinical approach is rooted in precision, compassion, and a commitment to empowering patients through education and evidence-based treatment.
Ms. Bako holds a Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South College in Asheville, North Carolina, graduating Cum Laude and earning the 2024 AAPA Leadership and Advocacy Summit Student Grant. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Petersburg College, where she was awarded the Joseph Chamberlin Memorial Scholarship for academic achievement and leadership.
As a first-generation college graduate, Ms. Bako brings a unique perspective to medicine. She is passionate about advancing access to care and serves as a mentor for future physician assistant students. Prior to PA school, she built a solid foundation in patient care through over 5,000 hours of experience as a pharmacy technician, medical assistant, and patient care technician.
In her free time, she enjoys practicing Pilates and yoga, exploring new cultures through travel, and engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking.
