Today, I had a very disappointing experience at the Berman Skin Institute in Pleasanton. My daughter had an appointment last week, and the doctor advised us to schedule a follow-up this week if her condition did not improve. Following the doctor's advice, I booked an appointment for today.We arrived 15 minutes early, and after being shown to a room and having pictures taken, a staff member informed me that our insurance only covers a follow-up two weeks after the initial appointment. This was shocking and frustrating, as I had rearranged my entire day for this visit. I left work early, my daughter had to submit an application at school to miss an after-school activity, and I canceled other meetings. Despite all this, we left the office without even seeing the doctor.This situation could have easily been avoided with better communication and attention to detail from the staff. Neither the call center nor the office staff verified this crucial insurance information beforehand. It shows a lack of responsibility and coordination within the team. I urge the Berman Skin Institute to improve their processes to avoid causing unnecessary inconvenience to patients.I am extremely disappointed by today's experience. Please address this to ensure better care for future patients.Thank you!

Been coming here for over a year now, seeing my boy Dr. Charles Chiang. He is an absolute dawg. Sat me down and we discussed different treatments for my condition. He has never pushed anything on me, and lets me be the one to make my own informed decisions.He is also extremely responsive over email. He will typically get back to whatever question I have for him within the day, or the next morning, even when I don't need him to. One time there was a mixup with my meds and homie called me at 9pm on a Saturday to take care of it himself.Plus the office be hooking me up with the samples too, I used to walk away with a whole ass bag of La Roche Posay. Sadly I moved away and it's harder to ask if they'll ship them over when you're doing telehealth appointments.Dr. Charles Chiang, if you're reading this, you're an absolute beast and you deserve all the 5 star reviews. Keep being the dawg that you are.
