Lexi Riopelle, MD, is a fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon and board-certified dermatologist through the American Board of Dermatology. 

Originally from Northern California, she attended the University of Southern California (USC), where she graduated summa cum laude. She then earned her medical degree from the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received Research Honors.

Dr. Riopelle completed her dermatology residency at Boston University, where she served as Chief Resident and Clinical Instructor. During residency, she was honored with several distinctions, including the Boston University Nancy and G. Robert Baler Distinguished Clinical Scholar Award and the Rising Derm Star Award. She also served as volunteer adjunct dermatology faculty at the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda.

Following residency, Dr. Riopelle was selected for an elite surgical fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive plastic surgery, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. This highly competitive fellowship provided advanced, hands-on training alongside world-renowned plastic surgeons, oculoplastic surgeons, and dermatologic surgeons in Santa Monica and Los Angeles. As part of her fellowship, she was also privileged to care for veterans at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center.

Dr. Riopelle has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters, contributed to clinical trials, presented at national and international dermatology meetings, and been featured in dermatology podcasts. She is dedicated to advancing the fields of skin cancer surgery, aesthetic dermatology, and general dermatology through clinical excellence, research, and mentorship. Known for her meticulous surgical technique and warm, patient-centered approach, Dr. Riopelle is passionate about delivering outstanding care across all aspects of dermatology. 

In her free time, she enjoys running, SoulCycle, and spending time with her two Yorkies, Paris and Sydney.
