Katie Mader, PA-C
Kate is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. She moved to scenic southern Utah in her teen years and spent the next 20 years moving her way northward for her undergraduate and graduate studies. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor of Science in biology/chemistry. The National PA Foundation graciously awarded Kate an academic scholarship while attending the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program. In 2009 she graduated with honors with her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Utah School of Medicine. She has thoroughly enjoyed working in general dermatology for 12 years. Her involvement with the University of Utah School of Medicine as adjunct faculty has been truly rewarding as she has been able to participate in their rural medical rotations in Africa and Nepal. Her particular specialty interests include skin cancer diagnosis and treatment as well as autoimmune skin conditions. She is currently a diplomate with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
In her spare time she enjoys some urban farming and spending time with friends and family. She is excited to call the Bay Area her new home and is looking forward to pursuing surfing and scuba.
